Priority Initiatives

Connect your passion to our mission

Our donors are a fundamental part of the work we do to ensure everyone in our community has access to exceptional, compassionate care, close to home.

Our philanthropic priorities are aimed at expanding access and ensuring the long-term sustainability of vital healthcare services. With your generosity, our ability to serve our community of families, friends, and neighbors will continue for generations to come.

Capital Campaigns

Gifts to our capital campaign funds are aimed at transforming the healthcare landscape in our community. Centered on Adventist Health Sonora’s hallmark services, these funds support investments in state-of-the-art facilities, advanced technology, clinician training and education, community outreach, and more.

Digestive Health Center

Digestive Health CenterTimely colonoscopies and other gastrointestinal care are crucial for prevention and early intervention, yet the average wait time for a routine screening colonoscopy in the Mother Lode is 12 months.

Gifts to the Digestive Health Fund support a new state-of-the-art facility that will allow us to double our capacity to provide these vital procedures and recruit and retain specialized clinicians, greatly reducing patient wait times and allowing our community to receive this important care close to home. With patients able to receive screenings on time and with greater convenience, we will be able to detect cancer and other life-threatening illnesses earlier, leading to better treatment outcomes.

Greatest Need

The biggest and most exciting opportunities do not always happen according to schedule. Gifts to our Greatest Need Fund provide Adventist Health Sonora leaders with the flexibility to allocate resources where and when they are needed most. Gifts to this fund have helped purchase new equipment and technology, enabled renovations and improvements to our campus, and supported community outreach and well-being.

Patient Support

We believe that no one in our community should face a difficult diagnosis or challenging time alone. Gifts to our patient support funds directly benefit patients and families in our community by removing financial barriers they may be experiencing and allowing them to focus solely on their treatment and healing.

Our Cancer and Hospice Patient Support funds specifically benefit patients and families facing cancer or receiving hospice care by helping with expenses not covered by insurance, such as transportation assistance, utilities, and more.

Project HOPE helps a wide range of patients across our organization receive the care and resources they deserve by reducing financial burdens. In the form of gas cards to help a patient get to and from appointments, home medical equipment to preserve a patient’s independence, and much more, Project HOPE provides just that: hope for a healthier future
